Worlds of Crafting
Mrs. Barringer was born in Durham and grew up in a small town a little further north in Granville County. She attended East Carolina University as a Maynard Scholar and worked closely with the ECU Teaching Fellows department. After college, Mrs. Barringer moved closer to home to teach. She taught 2nd grade for 5 years and is now in her 4th year of teaching 3rd grade at Scroggs Elementary School. Her mother went to school in this district, and Mrs. Barringer is especially excited about running a camp in the same building her mom went to elementary school at.
Rebeka's Camp Motivation
I’ve always been an avid reader and especially love to read children’s and young adult literature. My love of stories at such a young age developed into a love of movies, particularly in fantasy and fairy-tales. I saw Toy Story for the first time in 1995 when I was six years old, and it was history after that. My husband purchased my first Cricut machine for me before we went on a trip to Disney World so I could make shirts, and my two favorite hobbies of crafting and Disney joined together seamlessly. I’m excited to show students my love for this machine and expose them to a world of endless crafting possibilities.
