Ms Michele Nelson

Michele Nelson is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher, currently working as an art teacher for Chapel Hill-Carrboro Schools at Estes Hills Elementary School. Michele also teaches The Art of Photography for the North Carolina Virtual Public School, in conjunction with the North Carolina Museum of Art. Michele served as teacher and camp coordinator for Alamance-Burlington School’s system’s Artsploration program for 10 years and, more recently, has been teaching summer camps with Woods Charter School’s Summer Wonders Program for the past 5 years, and taught with Creative Camps last year.
Michele graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts (BFA), and she holds a Masters Degree of Arts in Education (MAEd) from East Carolina University. Michele resides in Pittsboro, NC with her husband, daughter, dog and two crazy cats. Michele's Camp Motivation
I have been teaching summer art camps for 18 years. I love being able to keep the spirit of creativity sparked in children all year long and summer camps provide the perfect outlet to share my passion for art with children during the summer months.
