Jasmine Johnson

Fun, Creative, Tech minded!
Ms. Johnson is a fifth grade teacher at Scroggs Elementary School. She moved to North Carolina from Long Island, NY in 2007, so she still doesn’t consider herself a true “Southerner” quite yet. After graduating from Appalachian State University as a NC Teaching Fellow in 2013, she joined the Scroggs fourth grade family, but moved up to fifth grade at the start of the 2015-2016 school year. Ms. Johnson is currently in her seventh year teaching and is taking classes at Elon University to earn her Master’s degree in Gifted Education.
Jasmine's Camp Motivation
Building relationships has always been at the core of my passion for teaching. I’ve always found value in sharing my personal interests with students, while learning about and embracing theirs, as well. Leading summer camps is another way to foster meaningful relationships among and with students as they grow into the young people who will shape our future.
