Ms Hannah Stang

Creative! Fun! Imaginative!
Ms. Stang was born and raised in Chapel Hill, NC and only left briefly to attend college (but only 45 minutes away!). Since she was 5 years old, she wanted to be an elementary school teacher. Ms. Stang currently teaches third grade at Scroggs Elementary School where she's been teaching since graduating from Elon University in 2006. At Elon, she was a NC Teaching Fellow and studied abroad in London for a semester. Ms. Stang is now teaching her 12th class of third graders and loves getting to work with kids everyday!
Hannah's Camp Motivation
Ever since I was a kid, I loved doing artwork and creative projects. I always loved working with kids. Since I was 12, I've worked as a camp counselor at a number of different camps around Chapel Hill/Carrboro including an art camp, cooking camp, science camp, and other day camps. For the past three summers, I have run my own art/activity camp. I love sharing my enthusiasm and enjoyment in anything creative and artistic with children and love hearing from parents how children come home and want to do the camp projects again! Every day campers will get an opportunity to learn new skills and exercise different parts of their creativity.
