What's it All About?
Have a Maker Mindset and create!
Maker’s Spaces are also helping to prepare children in using critical 21st century skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). STEM Braniac Camp will provide hands on learning, help with critical thinking skills and even boost creative self-confidence. Some of the skills that are learned will involve electronics, 3d printing, 3D modeling, coding, robotics and even woodworking. Children will also be encouraged to foster entrepreneurship ideas as they create designs to solve real problems.
About Your Camp Leader
One of my favorite things about working in a school is the ability to use summers to focus on things I really love to do. Obviously, technology is one of my passions but another one is building and creating. This is why I helped Carrboro Elementary create a makerspace at the school. It is a great place for students to get some really good hands-on problem solving and get the feeling of being able to create something that helps others.
